1本院宗旨
OBJECTIVE
培養一批精通中、英雙語，有能(néng)力從事(shì)弘法管理和學(xué)術研究的僧伽人才，爲漢傳佛教的可持續性發(fā)展提供人力資源。
To nurture members of the Sangha to be proficient in the English and Chinese Languages as well as to have the ability to promulgate Buddhism, conduct academic research and manage monastic matters, so as to ensure the continual development of Chinese Mahayana Buddhism.
2學(xué)制及學(xué)習内容
COURSE STRUCTURE AND CURRICULUM
2.1 英文部：六年全日制學(xué)習——兩(liǎng)年預科主攻英語，四年本科全英文攻讀佛學(xué)學(xué)士課程，修滿規定學(xué)分後(hòu)，學(xué)生將(jiāng)獲頒泰國(guó)摩诃朱拉隆功大學(xué)學(xué)士文憑。
English Course: Full time 6-year course, consisting of a 2-year foundation course focusing on developing core English Language skills, followed by a 4-year undergraduate programme conducted in English. Upon earning the required credits, students will be awarded a Bachelor of Arts’ degree by the Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, Thailand.
2.2 中文部：四年全日制學(xué)習中文佛學(xué)學(xué)士課程，修滿規定學(xué)分後(hòu)，學(xué)生將(jiāng)獲頒泰國(guó)摩诃朱拉隆功大學(xué)學(xué)士文憑。
Chinese Course: Full time 4-year undergraduate programme in Buddhism conducted in Chinese. Upon earning the required credits, students will be awarded a Bachelor of Arts’ degree by the Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, Thailand.
3師資陣容
TEACHING STAFF
本院擁有一支強大和資深的教學(xué)隊伍。其中教授佛學(xué)科目的教師，都(dōu)是獲得碩士 / 博士學(xué)位、精通佛法的法師和居士學(xué)者。
BCS has a well-established and experienced teaching team, especially our Buddhism lecturers, which consist of both Sangha members and lay-people with either Masters’ Degree or PhD qualifications.
4生活待遇

學(xué)院將(jiāng)提供免費食宿、學(xué)習及生活的基本用品，并在學(xué)習期間每月發(fā)給一定的生活費
All meals, accommodation and daily necessities will be provided by the college. Students will also receive a monthly allowance during their period of study at BCS.
5畢業去向(xiàng)
POST-GRADUATION OUTLOOK
原則上，畢業後(hòu)回原寺院。有志于從事(shì)佛學(xué)研究的畢業生，可以報讀本院碩士課程或受助到國(guó)外深造。
Students shall return to their monasteries upon graduation. However, graduates who are interested to engage in further academic research may apply for the college’s MA programme or apply for assistance to further their studies overseas.
6報考資格
APPLICATION PRE-REQUISITES
6.1不限國(guó)籍，年齡爲18至35歲的佛教僧人。
Ordained Buddhist monk aged 18 – 35 of all nationalities.
6.2信仰虔誠，出家一年以上。
Devout and has been ordained for at least 1 year.
6.3具有高中或同等學(xué)曆（如高級水準、中專或初中畢業加三年佛學(xué)院）。
Possess at least high school or equivalent qualifications (e.g. ‘A’-levels, vocational college or junior high graduate plus 3 years of education at a Buddhist College).
6.4身體健康、無殘（隐）疾（如夢遊、癫痫）和傳染病。無精神疾病和抑郁症狀。
Healthy, no visible or hidden disabilities (E.g. sleepwalking, epilepsy) and/or infectious diseases. No symptoms of mental illness or depression.
6.5無犯罪記錄。
No criminal record.
7報考程序
APPLICATION PROCEDURES
7.1即日接受報名，非中國(guó)籍考生截止日期爲2024年4月30日；中國(guó)藉考生爲2024年5月31日。
The closing date for non-Chinese applicants is 30 April 2024; Chinese applicants is 31 May 2024.
7.2從網上www.bcs.edu.sg下載《報名表》。如實填寫，字迹工整。請務必提供有效電話号碼和電子郵件地址，以便及時(shí)聯絡。
Interested parties may download the application form from our website www.bcs.edu.sg. Application forms should be completed accordingly and legibly. Please provide a valid contact number and/or email address.
7.3將(jiāng)填好(hǎo)的《報名表》及下列材料掃描，并電郵至本院郵箱： enquiry@bcs.edu.sg。成(chéng)功錄取後(hòu)，必須攜帶所有原件并呈交至學(xué)院。
Please scan the completed application form together with the following materials and email it to: enquiry@bcs.edu.sg. Successful applicants must submit all the original documents to the college.
a.兩(liǎng)封推薦信，可由報考者的師父、常住寺院的住持 / 師長(cháng)、曾讀佛學(xué)院的法師 / 老師提供。
Two different referral letters from either the applicant’s Master, the Abbot / senior monks at the applicant’s current Monastery or former Venerables / Lecturers who had previously taught the applicant.
b.已獲得的最高學(xué)曆證書和成(chéng)績單的複印件。
Photocopy of the latest academic transcript and certificate attained by the applicant.
c.身份證及護照的複印件。
Photocopy of Personal Identification card and passport.
d.申請者三個月内正面(miàn)免冠照片。
3張照片要求：彩色、白底、粗面(miàn)、僧服。尺寸：35×45mm.
Three passport-sized, matte-finished photographs (35×45mm) of the applicant’s front profile.
Applicants should be dressed in monk’s robes with no headdress, on white background.
e.縣級以上醫院體檢表格（包括血檢、肝檢、胸透）。
Medical check-up form (inclusive of blood test, liver test, chest X-ray) from a Government-registered medical institution.
8錄取程序和名額
SELECTION PROCEDURES AND INTAKE
8.1 中、英文班共招收50名學(xué)生。
A total of 50 students will be selected for the English and Chinese programmes.
8.2 統一考試，擇優錄取。
Applicants will be selected based on the results of the entrance examinations.
8.3 考試科目：英文部考預備中級英語；中文部考佛學(xué)、語文和初級英語，并統一面(miàn)試。
Scope of Examination: Interviews and examinations for both courses will be conducted at the same time. English course applicants will sit for a Pre-Intermediate English Language examination while Chinese course applicants will sit for 3 examinations: Buddhism, Chinese Linguistic Skills (both conducted in Chinese) and Elementary English Language Examination.
8.4 被(bèi)錄取的考生，簽證由我院辦理。
The college will apply for student visas and permits on behalf of all selected applicants.
8.5 錄取結果將(jiāng)通過(guò)電話、電子郵件和本院網站同時(shí)通知，敬請留意。
Selection results will be announced via telephone, email and the college website.
9 一旦被(bèi)錄取，必須在2024年8月19日報到。
Successful applicants are required to report to the college by 19 August 2024.
